Celebrity Golf Tournament

The Golf Tournament is a fundraiser for the museum intended to give the community a chance to meet some celebrities from the entertainment and sports worlds. It is open to the public and any level of golfer is welcome. It is a part of the Inductions Weekend.

The debut tournament in 2000 featured six Olympic champions and former world heavyweight professional champions Lou Thesz and Verne Gagne. Since then celebrities have included Spud Webb, former NBA basketball player; Bob Feller, former Cleveland Indians pitcher; Billy Mills, Olympic track gold medalist; Denny Miller, former movie Tarzan and co-star of "Wagon Train" television series; and many others!

Inductions Weekend

Added to the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Hall of Fame Inductions weekend in 2000, the tournament is part of the fun that lasts for 3 days in late summer. Also that weekend is the Frank Gotch 5k Memorial Run.
