Kevin Jackson is considered one of the best freestyle wrestlers in U.S. history, winning a gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain at 180.5 pounds, and claiming World Championship gold medals in both 1991 and 1995. Jackson is one of only five U.S. wrestlers to claim three career World-level titles.
In college, Jackson competed for both Louisiana State and Iowa State. From 1983 through 1985 Jackson was a three-time All-American at LSU. After his junior season, Louisiana State dropped their wrestling program and Jackson transferred to Iowa State for his final year of eligibility. At the 1987 NCAA tournament the Cyclone star 167-pounder finished second to end his college career as a four-time All-American.
